Baldev Lamba, RLA, ASLA
Principal

Baldev Lamba has more than 25 years of diverse professional experience, first as an Architect, then as a Landscape Architect in the United States, the Middle East and India. Lamba is a Principal of Lamba Associates, Chair of the Department of Landscape Architecture and Horticulture at Temple University and President of PA/DE Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects.

Lamba holds his Masters in Landscape Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania and his Bachelors in Architecture from Delhi University in India.

With a background in Architecture, Lamba specializes in creating a harmonious relationship between buildings and landscapes. His award-winning design work has been featured in numerous publications and exhibitions and he has authored a number of articles for professional and trade publications, such as Landscape Review, Hort Technology, Landscape Architecture Magazine, Garden Design, Your Home and Landscape Review.

Registered as a Landscape Architect in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware, he is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects and the Council of Educators in Landscape Architecture.

Honors and Awards:

Excellence in Research and Creative Work Award,  Council of Educators in Landscape Architecture, 2012. This award recognizes long-term excellence as a designer and an educator in Landscape Architecture.

First Place Award, U. S. Botanic Garden Design Competition, Washington DC, Water Garden Feature, Team Project.

Merit Award, PA/DE ASLA 2012, PHS Pop Up Garden, 20th and Market Streets, Philadelphia, PA

Selected Exhibit for the official U.S. presentation, “Spontaneous Interventions: Design Actions for the Common Good,”  at the 13th International Venice Architecture Biennale in Venice, Italy. Project – PHS Pop-Up, Philadelphia, PA.  August 29 through November 25, 2012.

Third Place Award,  Competition for a New Campus Design for the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi, India. Collaborative project with Chelsea West Architects, New York.
